Hours: Monday-Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

- Experience in a school setting is preferred.
- Ability to organize and prioritize clerical and daily work assignments.

- Ability to work calmly and effectively amongst numerous interruptions.
- Possess and demonstrate skills in human relations with staff, students, and parents.
- Experience in all Microsoft and Google applications.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
- Proficiency test(s) will be required.
Responsibilities:
To perform all duties and responsibilities which promote the goals and objectives of the Utica Community School District Adult Education programs.
- Support the daily operations of one or all the Adult Education programs including, Adult Basic Education, Adult Secondary Education, English as a Second Language and High School Completion.
- Maintain compliance with current district policies and State of Michigan program guidelines.
- Register and intake students for Adult Education programs.
- Enter students in PowerSchool and the Michigan Adult Education Reporting System.
- Track/enter daily, weekly attendance and report attendance issues to the Adult Education Supervisor on a weekly basis.
- Track and enter student hours into TopsPro/Michigan Adult Education Reporting System.
- Follow up on students as required by the State of Michigan.
- Perform general secretarial duties, including but in not limited to:
- Answer phones
- Maintaining the entrance, vet guests and permit entry to building
- Prepare correspondence as needed
- Create staff and student handbooks per department as needed
- Respond to a variety of program-specific inquiries from internal and external parties for the purpose of providing information.
- Provide telephone and in person support; communicate with students, teachers, and other community members.
- Other duties as assigned.
