Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Elementary or Secondary Teaching Certificate required.
- English/Math major/minor preferred.
- Demonstrated interest/experience in working with adult students.
- Technology proficiency.
- Ability to foster an effective learning environment for multiple age and skill levels.
- Ability to implement multiple teaching methods, styles, and materials.
- To work cooperatively with other teaching and support staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality instruction that supports and aligns to the State of Michigan and the district's educational vision and mission.
- Responsible for teaching English as a Second Language, Adult Basic Education, or High School Completion courses using instructional methods geared toward the adult learner in a classroom setting.
- Facilitate an environment that fosters the learning of all students.
- Utilize educational technology to support student’s instruction and learning.
- Develop and deliver daily lesson plans utilizing a broad range of appropriate differentiated techniques and strategies to ensure learners meet or exceed learning targets.
- Analysis of real-time data pertaining to student learning
- Responsible for tracking student progress and communicating to students and administration.
- Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with students, peers, and community.
- Follow policies and procedures outlined by the Supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
