Reports To: Auxiliary Services Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be able to read written directions and literature in their field with the ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings.
- A minimum of four (4) years experience in the heating and ventilation field.
- State of Michigan Mechanical License related to HVAC preferred, specifically (Unlimited Heating, Unlimited Refrigeration, and Unlimited A/C Service).
- Proficient with technology.
- Must hold a valid operator's license.
- Possess or attain a Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
- Ability to perform welding, soldering, and brazing.
Description:
- May be required to work second shift.
- Uniforms will be assigned and must be worn during scheduled working hours.
- Carryout work assignments and complete electronic work orders on a daily basis.
- Adjust, repair, and test thermostats (both electrical and pneumatic).
- Repair, lubricate, and test electrical and pneumatic damper control motors, valves, and other related equipment of this nature.
- Adjust gas-fired burners, combustion controls, gas valves.
- Must be able to maintain pneumatic and DDC controls.
- Knowledge in the repair of Commercial Kitchen equipment.
- Must sign in at the main office during regular school hours.
- Must leave a copy of the work order or written communication stating work performed with the custodian, prior to leaving the building.
- Pick up debris and perform other duties as assigned, including assisting the Plumbing Department, and other general repairs.
