Description:
- Provide high quality support that align to the district's educational vision and mission.
- Continued knowledge of the professional standards and practices necessary to improve the academic, communication, and social emotional outcomes of students.
- Provide a continuum of instructional support for students receiving speech and language services.
- Collaborate with staff to plan educational interventions, assessments, literacy supports, and instructional strategies.
- Provide professional education to parents, students and staff.
- Participate in Child Find meetings, as needed.
- Compile and maintain records, written reports, progress monitoring, and other student-related documentation.
- Consults and collaborates with parents, school personnel, and students regarding educational concerns and student performance.
- Monitor student progress on IEP goals and short-term objectives.
- Travel to district sites, as needed.
- Maintain a high level of understanding and application of federal and state special education timeline and compliance regulations.
- Participate in professional development to support the provision of evidence-based practices.
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan certificate/license.
- Endorsement(s)/License sought: SB (Speech and Language Impairment), Speech and Language Pathologist or Educational Limited License with application of full SLP license upon completion of CFY.
